1. Vision Boarding

This one is all about pictures! It was fun, but it took forever to find drawings or pictures from magazines that represented my goals. Then I still had to arrange them nicely on a poster.

2. Daily Affirmations

Some days were harder than others. Without any prompts or examples, repeating positive statements or writing them down daily was difficult. But, on the days I got it right, I did feel more positive and motivated.

3. The 369 Method

Okay, so writing your desire down 3, 6, and 9 times daily wasn’t so difficult at first, but after day 4, it all went downhill. I had a meeting run late, and I just couldn’t find the time, so consistency went out the window. I tried again, but it happened the week after, too!

4. Visualization

I couldn’t get my mind to quiet down enough to actually imagine my goals being achieved. I feel like I needed more guidance or some steps to follow to help me.

5. Gratitude Journaling

I liked this one the most. It was all about attracting abundance through appreciation, but I was so inconsistent, and some days I got a bit stuck and didn’t know what to write or where to start.

What They Taught Me

Now, let me be clear: each of these methods was helpful in some small way. There were bursts of motivation, moments of true clarity, and even some ‘coincidences’ that made me raise an eyebrow.

I was often more overwhelmed than inspired, and let's not even talk about how guilty I felt when I missed a day (or three).
