When life outruns you
Can we really think of a hundred things in a single minute? Sometimes that feels more than possible.
It’s like our minds have little legs that run even faster when we tell them to stop.
And thus, the race begins.
Us against our thoughts.
Us against reality.
Us against ourselves.
We always try to outrun something, whether it’s something we don’t want to deal with or something that is not right or perfect… Something that we don’t like.
As if accepting our own messy, imperfect, yet uniquely beautiful realities would somehow make us less worthy, less triumphant. Less of the winners we think we could be without our faults.
But while we chase the perfect absence of our worries and doubts, there is always one thing that runs faster than us.
It skips so fast we often don’t realize it races along.
Do you ever get the feeling that time just flew by?
As if one second all you wanted to do, all you waited for, was still in the future. And the other - everything has already transformed into a distant memory, while you could only stand and watch it happen, unable to stop and still the precious moment.
Yeah, that feeling.
There is a way to escape it.
Stop and smell the roses.
Even if the picture is not perfect, even if you can hear traffic in the background, or you haven’t eaten since breakfast.
Appreciate the moment. Don’t try to change it.
Don’t run from it, hoping you will find a better one.
You might just see that even those imperfect moments make up a whole history of perfect feelings.
And slowly, the race will become - a walk. And this walk will become a moment of peace.
But of course, not everywhere the roses grow.
Yet, The Mindful Souls subscription box is available for everyone who wants another reason to stop and appreciate the moment.
It’s all about you-time. And each product comes with a purpose to heal, calm, inspire and protect!
